THE μ-AMP
A small preamp with a long history.
Originally identified as ROBOT 1981, the μ-Amp is a compact onboard guitar preamplifier built around the NE5534. The present board keeps the original circuit concept in a clean, installer-friendly PCB format.
The board is supplied preassembled. The guitar pickup, control potentiometer, bypass switch, output jack and 9 V battery are connected off-board.
THE BOARD
Built to be wired, installed and used.
Large numbered pads around the edge of the board provide clear connection points for the off-board parts. The board also includes copper link traces for several paired connections, while allowing direct point-to-point wiring when preferred.

INSTALLATION
Simple enough to wire without turning the guitar into a science project.
The installation guide identifies every numbered pad, the recommended wire colors, the 500 kΩ control connections, DPDT bypass switch, stereo output jack and 9 V battery wiring.
